MMD's expertise and experience in naval architecture encompasses an expansive range of designs; from 6 metre dredges to 40 metre luxury motor yachts and everything in between. We have the practical knowledge and theoretical understanding necessary to design vessels in a wide range sizes, propulsion systems and materials.

MMD take a flexible approach to our roll in each project. Designs are produced to any stage of completion that the client requires, ranging from preliminary arrangement drawings for tender submissions or proof of concept, through to detailed construction packages, including both structural and engineering construction drawings, schematics, and plate nesting.

MMD are experienced in designing to a variety of rules, standards and authorities including, but not limited to;

• Australian Maritime Safety Authority including National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) & Uniform Shipping Laws Code (USL)
• Australian Standards
• ISO Standards
• Class societies (Lloyd’s, ABS, BV, DNVGL, etc.)
